Tropico 4 Gets Expansion

Tropico 4, Haemimont Games’ newest installment into the long running Caribbean regime builder/strategy game, is getting a full blown expansion in March 2012 a press release from Kalypso Media says. Dubbed Modern Times the expansion aims to challenge players with bringing their Cold War-era island “paradise” up to snub with the 21st Century. The Internet, a globalized economy, terrorist organizations, and space exploration are just a fraction of the issues the player will tackle as they once again bear the responsibility of being El Presidente and leading the people. In all, the expansion will feature 30 new buildings that are made available over time, the ability to upgrade older buildings into modernized variants, 10 new edicts to issue ranging from control over Internet use to celebrating a “Festival of Love”, building a space program and sending your astronauts to the International Space Station, and a new singleplayer campaign containing 12 different scenarios to challenge the player.

Tropico 4: Modern Times will release in March this year on the Xbox 360 and PC for 1200 MSP and $15 respectively.
