The Secret World Launch Pushed Back Until July 3rd
Funcom’s upcoming MMO, The Secret World, has been in the making for a few years now and will have another couple weeks on top of that. This most recent two-week push-back is due to “market reasons,” but also allows for some more beta testing.
Haven’t heard about The Secret World? Check out the videos below for a general overview of the game. Set in modern times, The Secret World brings all the myths, legends, and conspiracies we once believed were false to life. Zombies, werewolves, ghosts, pharaohs, demons, you name it. Featuring a freeform “leveling” system, you can specialize or generalize your character as much as you please. And without classes, you are free to pick and choose what abilities you want and how to combine them. It also features open story-telling: you find relevant quests to the area as you explore, and it’s not about killing and gathering randomly anymore (you’ll still do those type of quests sometimes, but there’s a purpose behind it now). There are more than a few refreshing changes to MMOs coming in The Secret World.
