F-Zero announced as part of NintendoLand
F-Zero is back on a Nintendo console after nine years! Well, only partially, as it turns out after F-Zero was announced as the sixth of the twelve franchises to be part of the minigame bonanza that is NintendoLand. Whilst it doesn’t signal a return for the popular racing franchise it at least breathes new life into long standing rumours that an F-Zero game is forthcoming.
As for the minigame itself, players control a Mii in a racing craft (with a passing resemblance to Captain Falcon’s craft) and must endeavour to get to the end of the track whilst avoiding obstacles. F-Zero this ain’t but, if this comes pre-packaged with the Wii U, it may be more fun than it looks. Nintendo also revealed that a second player would use the Gamepad but they did not reveal what this would entail.
