Assassin’s Creed III – Caribbean Sea E3 Demo
Assassin’s Creed 3 E3 Gameplay Demo
During Ubisoft’s press conference a little earlier today, they took the time to show off a gameplay demo of Assassin’s Creed 3. It’s quite possible that Connor may be the most bad ass assassin yet in the series, if you don’t believe me just sit back and prepare to be enveloped in the pure awesome that is this gameplay demo.
Assassin’s Creed 3 Will Feature More Desmond than Ever Before
Fans of the undeniably successful Assassin’s Creed franchise have always craved for more playable segments with one of the series’ main protagonists, Desmond Miles. Apparently Ubisoft is aware of this and promises more playable portions with game’s present day hero in the upcoming AC III. Ubisoft had the following to say in an interview with CVG:
“All I can say about Desmond’s story is you’re going to experience more Desmond than you’ve ever had before. We’re spending more time on the present than we have in past games. It’s a big part of our story and I don’t really want to give too many details away because I want people to experience what that is. But rest assured, you’re going to see a lot of Desmond. More so than in any past game.”
Assassin’s Creed 3 will be available on October 30, 2012 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. A Wii U version in the works as well.
You can catch more AC III news in this interview conducted by CVG.
Ubisoft Not Concerned About Franchise Fatigue
This is a topic that has always been in the back of my mind, especially with many big name franchises continuing to push forward annual releases. In short, it’s a great concept to all; gamers always have a new installment to look forward to and the industry in general is more profitable. However, in the long run there’s the risk of diminishing not only the quality of that brand due to the fatigue of the development team, but also losing the consumer’s patience and interest.
In an interview conducted by GameIndustry International, Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft touches upon this issue:
Assassin’s Creed III Headed to Wii U
The gaming community has been buzzing about Assassin’s Creed III, and rightfully so: it looks great and well, new details are popping up everyday, so no one’s really had the time to simmer down.
We know the game’s coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC – that’s pretty much a given – but now it’s been confirmed that it’s coming to Wii U. That’s right, you’ll have the opportunity to play an actual Assassin’s Creed game, with all its strong themes and assassiny type doings, on a Nintendo system. Exciting stuff!
