If you’ve always been interested in Killzone 3’s multiplayer, but didn’t want to actually play the single player game, it’s your lucky day. On the PlayStation Blogcast, it was announced a standalone release of the multiplayer will release on PSN, and it’s also going to be free, sort of. The free version will have a level cap, and if you like the game enough by the time you hit it, you can buy it for $14.99.
This is a great move for Sony. Many of the downloadable multiplayer shooters that have released in recent time, no matter what the quality have done quite well. It’s an amazing deal to be able to get the deep multiplayer of Killzone 3 for free, and it remains a good deal for $14.99. You won’t have to wait long to give it a try because it is supposed to release sometime next week.
