Lego Universe Shutting Down One Year After Launching
Lego Universe went free-to-play earlier this year and apparently it didn’t work out. The game had nearly two million subscribers, but very few of them were paying to play. IGN reported that the MMO is shutting down January 31, 2012, it has been over a year since it launched in late 2010. Play Well Studios who is the developer will close when servers shut down .
Lego Universe is one of many MMO’s that have gone free to play recently. Will the future of those games have a similar fate as Lego Universe?
