If you know anything about me as a gamer at all, you’ll know that I grew up playing Japanese-made games, primarily Japanese role-playing games. And, for many years now, I’ve been a casual (but perhaps more serious than most) fan of both manga and anime. Since I was in 5th grade and did a report for my class on Japanese culture and customs, I’ve been in love with anything and everything Japanese. It’s simply part of who I am, and as I stated in my Christmas-time review of Xenogears, JRPGs are a very large part of my gaming identity.
Back in February Nintendo had a conference that revealed many new games for the 3DS. Most of the games announced had no mystery wrapped around them. We know what we are getting with a new Mario Tennis and Brain Age, but there was one game that left us a little curious. The announcement of a game simply said it was a 3DS game developed by Sega, Capcom, and Namco Bandai. As of today we still don’t know anything about the game, but it looks like we will find what it’s going to be by April 12th. A teaser site went up starting the countdown to the date.
We’ll update you when the countdown reaches zero on April 12th.

In a few days Pitt will finally soar back onto store shelves with the arrival of Kid Icarus Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS. Be sure to check back with us for our full review coming next week. In the meantime, after the break is a small preview of the many weapons available in the game’s multiplayer mode.
Last week EB Games (a.k.a Gamestop) were accepting pre-orders for both Donkey Kong 3D and Kirby 3D. Neither of these titles have been announced by Nintendo, but this didn’t stop certain retail locations from displaying sample boxes advertising both games as ‘coming soon’ and to ‘pre-order now’.
An inside source within the company has confirmed to us that head office “ordered them to remove all boxes and/or displays of Donkey Kong 3D and Kirby 3D“. We are unable to confirm whether it was simply head office reacting to the recent news or that Nintendo requested the boxes to be removed.
It looks like fans of either series will have to wait until Nintendo officially announces these titles before they can pre-purchase a copy ( and that’s only if they do).
Here’s an additional source confirming similar information.
