Playstation Plus Update Includes Free Starhawk Campaign
Playstation Plus updates tomorrow and it will include yet another free game for members. PS+ subscribers will get the single player campaign for Starhawk, plus all of its DLC, for free.
PS+ members will also be given a discount on two other PSN games, Hell Yeah! and Tokyo Jungle. Both games are usually $14.99 but will be $11.99 for PS+ subscribers starting tomorrow. Check out the videos for all three games below.
PlayStation Plus Comes to Vita in November
We’re supporters of Sony’s subscription-based service on PlayStation 3, and when we heard that it would be coming to Vita a while back, we knew it only meant positive things for the (struggling-to-sell) handheld system going forward. Even now, it’s not exactly clear whether the advantageous deals on PS3 will translate over to the same degree, but at least we know definitively, thanks to an announcement at Tokyo Game Show, that PlayStation Plus will be launching on the Vita in November.
The service will work similarly to how it does on PS3, and one subscription will carry over to both systems. Subscribers can expect free and discounted games, cloud saving, automatic updates and automatic Trophy syncing, at a cost of $18/€15 for three months or $50/€50 for a year.
PlayStation Plus in May: Free Awesomenauts and Trine 2
They all laughed, pointed and teased. “What a waste of money,” they said, upon finding out that you purchased the service. Well, now look who’s raking in the games (that are free as long as a PS Plus subscription is maintained, of course). Every month seems to be offering its own unique delights, and PlayStation Plus is at it again in May, throwing a bunch of free content at subscribers.
Even better, members aren’t going to have to wait through the (grueling) month to get the content they want – almost all of the important bits are available day one.
Starting on May 1, Awesomenauts and Rock of Ages, making their PSN debut, will be free right away. Also free: the wonderful and critically acclaimed Trine 2, and two PSOne Classics, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania Cronicles. Apparently it’s also beta season: Plus subscribers, only a month after being treated to the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier beta, will get exclusive access to the PixelJunk 4am beta. And don’t forget the Minis; Velocity and – I kid you not – Floating Cloud God Saves The Pilgrims are both free next month, too.

PlayStation Plus Perks for April
PlayStation Plus, at one time, felt somewhat like a lost cause, but now – not so much. The team over at PlayStation have been working hard, delivering viable content, making PS Plus a worthwhile service, and ultimately putting a smile on the face of those who have invested in it. Like next month, for example, PS Plus subscribers will have more than enough to look forward to, and a good portion of it is free.
Beginning on April 3, two of the bigger draws for the month, Shank 2 and Shift 2: Unleashed, are free to download. Also free in April, Plus subscribers can expect PSOne Classic Silent Hill and PSN Title Frogger Returns; and the inevitable PSN Minis, laughable descriptions and all, Canabalt, Farm Frenzy 2 and Mystic Garden. On top of those offerings, Plus subscribers will get early access to the closed beta for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier – which has no listed date yet, but will start sometime in April.
Additionally, there will be discounts on House of the Dead 4, Disney Universe, and GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City.

PlayStation Plus Perks for February
February, a month full of hearts, chocolates, flowers, and all around chumminess, seems to be a month full of free games and discounts as well. Or at least this is how Sony is seeing it, if your a Playstation Plus member – Sony’s subscription-based consumer program.
Playstation Plus subscribers will be treated to a slew of freebies – highlighted by The Simpsons Arcade Game, Final Fantasy V, and Far Cry 2 – for what is arguably one of the biggest months for the PS Plus program since it started.
Only On PSN – Exclusive Games on PSN Includes Rare PS2 Downloadable Games
Sony has announced, via their PlayStation Blog, a new Only On PSN program.
A snippet of their post:
We’re excited to announce a new program called “Only On PSN,” which features brand new games that are exclusively available on PlayStation Network throughout October. Every week starting tomorrow, October 4, you will find new titles, unique to PSN that are part of this program – games that you’ve likely read about here on the PlayStation Blog, or seen during our showing at E3 2011. You may recall our announcement a few months ago about investing $20 million in exclusive PSN titles, and the Only On PlayStation Network program showcases two titles spawning from this investment: Eufloria and Okabu.
We can’t wait for you to get your hands on the Only On PSN games yourselves, so we’re giving you a few special offers throughout the course of the program. First, to sweeten the deal, we’ll be offering PlayStation Plus subscribers a 20% discount on each game during the first week of its availability.
Additionally, users who spend $60 or more out of their PlayStation Network/Sony Entertainment Network wallet through the month of October will get $10 back in November. This includes any of the Only On PSN games, purchases of games, add-ons, movies and TV shows in both the game and video sections of the PlayStation Store, your paid subscriptions for PlayStation Plus or Music Unlimited, movie rentals or purchases through Video Unlimited and any games or virtual items you buy in PlayStation Home.
Be sure to keep an eye on the PlayStation Twitter feed, as we’ll be giving away download codes for each game in the line-up every week. Don’t miss your chance to get this week’s Only On PSN games for free!
More after the jump.
