Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid 4 “Too Enormous” for Xbox 360

IGN recruited the voice of Solid Snake, David Hayter, to explain why the Metal Gear Solid: Legacy won’t release on the Xbox 360. Kojima states that Metal Gear Solid 4 would take seven DVDs worth of information on the Xbox 360 as opposed to one Blu-Ray on PlayStation 3. Without MGS4, there’s no Metal Gear Solid: Legacy, therefore, Xbox 360 goes without. He did hint at the possibility of a next-gen release.

Deadly Premonition Getting A Directors Cut in Q1 2013

deadly premonition

You can’t see me right now, but I assure you I am doing a happy dance in the middle of my house after hearing the best news of the week so far. Rising Star Games has announced that they plan to release a Directors Cut of the cult hit Deadly Premonition on PS3 in early 2013. However, no specific release date was given.

The Directors Cut will feature new scenarios, HD graphics, updated controls, and DLC. Although not everyone on our staff is able to grasp the game’s brilliance (I’m looking at you Mike) I am still eagerly awaiting the release of this Directors Cut nonetheless.

TellTale Games has released a trailer for Episode 4 of their fantastic The Walking Dead game, titled “Around Every Corner”. This episode is written by Gary Whitta, who wrote the script for The Book of Eli.

TellTale Games also stated in their press release that they will be revealing the release date for episode 4 very soon, with episode 5 following not long after. All 5 episodes will be bundled and released at retail stores later this year. I personally can’t wait to see what happens with Lee, Clem, and the rest of the group in the next episode.

Assassin’s Creed Ezio Trilogy Stabs PS3 Exclusively

Assassin's Creed Ezio Trilogy PS3

The official PlayStation Blog has announced that the PS3 will be the home of the Assassin’s Creed Ezio Trilogy exclusively for $39.99, not to be outdone by Commander Sheperd and the recently announced Mass Effect Trilogy. The Assassin’s Creed Ezio Trilogy will release on November 13th, just two weeks after Assassin’s Creed III.

The PlayStation Blog confirmed that the trilogy will include Assassin’s Creed II with DLC content, and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Revelations. No word of extra content for the latter two games.

No, the original Assassin’s Creed is not included. That would make it a quadrology if you didn’t know.

Mass Effect Getting Trilogy Compilation Treatment

Mass Effect Trilogy

Bioware announced on the official Mass Effect page that Mass Effect will be getting a trilogy collection for Xbox 360 and PC on November 6th with a PS3 version to follow at a later date.

The trilogy package will include all three Mass Effect games and DLC packaged in a foil box decorated with snazzy custom artwork for $59.99.

This will obviously be the first chance for PS3 owners to play the formerly Xbox 360 exclusive (for consoles) Mass Effect. Unfortunately, you just have to wait a little bit longer for an unspecified date. If you don’t want to dip into the trilogy compilation just for the original Mass Effect on PS3, it is confirmed as a PSN download for $14.99 and it will be available the same day as the compilation.

Here are the details:
