Street Fighter X Tekken DLC 4

On the bright side, free colors packs for the customization options and three new quick combos were added for your downloadable consumption. If you’re really feeling saucy, the swap costumes are available for $1 each character or $13 for each set of Street Fighter or Tekken characters. That’s 80 MSP or 1040 MSP respectively for the Xbox 360 gamers.

Capcom-Unity has also stated that the patch to update the sound glitches and add tournament support, which includes a more user-friendly gem selection option will hit April 10th.

Capcom’s Ayano explains Street Fighter X Tekken Xbox 360 Co-op Omission

Unlike the PlayStation 3 version, the Xbox 360 version of Street Fighter X Tekken doesn’t support local co-op when playing online. An omission that Xbox 360 owners seem to be pretty steamed about and naturally, have taken to the internet to express their displeasure.

Assistant producer Tomoaki Ayano posted on the Capcom-Unity blog and gave his explanation for the feature’s absence, saying it really came down to resource and time management.

“Unfortunately, due to time and resource issues, we weren’t able to get that feature into the Xbox 360 version and we apologize to those players who were looking forward to it. Throughout the development process, there are times when new features are added (and we added a lot of them!) and there are also times where we have to make tough decisions regarding things to cut. This was one of those times. This mode is supported in the PlayStation 3 version, however, since we tackled that earlier and found the architecture of their system to be more conducive to implementing it.”

Ayano concluded by promising that information on game updates would be coming soon. Possibly a fix for those sound problems Mike mentioned in his review?

Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Capcom
Genre: Fighting
Platforms: PS3, Xbox 360
Release Date: March 6, 2012
ESRB: T – Teen

Street Fighter X Tekken (pronounced Street Fighter Cross Tekken) is just what the doctor ordered for the followers of Street Fighter, Tekken, or both. Ever since its reveal, fighting game fans in both the Capcom and Namco Bandai camps have salivated at the thought of a tag team style 2D fighter featuring classic and fan favorite characters. The intent was (and though we haven’t heard much from Namco Bandai, still is) for both companies to bring to life their own conceptions of a crossover fighter. Capcom leads off with an amalgam of Super Street Fighter IV and Tekken that is welcoming to new players, though maybe slightly overwhelming, and most assuredly a deep fighter for the hardcore fans. It introduces a plethora of new changes to the Street Fighter gameplay that this game is built around and assimilates the Tekken characters flawlessly while leaving their unique identities intact.

New Street Fighter X Tekken Costumes Revealed at Tournament

Street Fighter X Tekken DLC 6

Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono and Namco Bandai’s Katsuhiro Harada revealed even more delectable DLC costumes for Street Fighter X Tekken at a Super Street Fighter IV official tournament. As is the theme for these costumes, Capcom and Tekken characters are “cosplaying” in the opposing teams respective outfits, such as Ogre as Gill or Balrog (Boxer) as Steve Fox and Vega (Claw) as Yoshimitsu. No details as far as release or pricing has been confirmed. Capcom is going to make a killing off of this.

Street Fighter X Tekken Vita Characters Coming to Consoles

Capcom Community Manager Seth Killian told Shacknews that the 12 extra characters launching with the Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken would eventually make their way to consoles.

In celebration of SFxT’s upcoming release on March 6, Capcom held a launch party in downtown Los Angeles. While there, Shacknews had the opportunity to catch up with Seth Killian, asking about the recent reveal of exclusive characters for Vita, and whether or not those characters would be ever be seen on consoles. Killian confirmed that console players would get them at some point:

We’ll find a way to make sure that console fans are happy, as well.

Unfortunately, he gave no specifics on when or how these characters would be distributed. The Vita version is launching in fall, so don’t expect them anytime soon.

12 New Characters Coming to Street Fighter X Tekken Vita

Street Fighter 25th Anniversary logo

As it turns out, the Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken will have the most packed roster of all. In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Street Fighter, Capcom today announced twelve additional characters that’ll be included on Vita. In addition to the PS3/Vita exclusive PAC-Man, Mega Man, Cole, Toro and Kuro; the vita version will also include Street Fighter’s Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy and Sakura, and Tekken’s Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack, Lars Alexandersson and Lei Wulong.

Previously, Xbox 360 owners found themselves not being too concerned with Sony’s exclusive characters, mainly because they weren’t really characters any fighting-game fan would care to have (Fat Mega Man!? C’mon!), but this update reveals important characters to both franchises, characters that could be fan favorites. Capcom is planning on supporting the game with loads of DLC, though, and with the Vita version launching in fall of 2012, there’s a good chance these characters will be downloadable on consoles and maybe even PC.

Street Fighter X Tekken DLC Leaked, New Characters, Costume Swap Packs

You thought those alternate costumes would be free?

In what appears to be a leaked list of expected DLC for Street Fighter X Tekken, you will see that Capcom is actually throwing in something free…colors. Otherwise, a breakdown in pricing for Boost Gem Packs, Costume Swap Packs (alternate costumes revealed some time ago showing Street Fighter characters in Tekken costumes and vice versa), New Challengers Pack (Cody, Guy, Christie, and Leo), and finally, an unlocker for those too lazy to unlock modes and unlockable characters on their own. None of this has been confirmed, but this absolutely fits the DLC business model Capcom has been using this generation. Now the question is, will this be in Microsoft Points or dollars for Xbox 360 gamers? Oh, and no, that is not an image of Cody from SFxT.

More Characters Outed For Street Fighter X Tekken, Akuma, Jin, & Ogre

Want more characters for Street Fighter X Tekken? Of course you do. Especially if you are a Xbox 360 gamer feeling jilted by the inclusion of Sony cats, Pac-Mans, and overweight Capcom joke characters. You can add Akuma (duh), Jin, and Ogre to the constantly growing list of characters in the upcoming crossover fighter.

The reveal comes via a Taiwanese site called Gamer. They posted some images of character movesets and some Taiwanese collector’s edition details, such as a 46 track soundtrack and Ono and/or Harada bobbleheads. Come on Capcom USA, where you at!?
