Assassin’s Creed III: Walkthrough the Frontier with Creative Lead Alexander Hutchinson

Assassin's Creed III_5

Ubisoft had a suprisingly strong showing at E3 this year. They had crowds buzzing about next generation visuals with Watch Dogs and they continued to please with Assassin’s Creed III, a game that seems to be rubbing everyone the right way. Below you’ll find the same gameplay footage that was shown at E3, but this time creative director Alexander Hutchinson lays down some commentary. Give it a look.

World Premiere: Assassin’s Creed III Gameplay Footage

Prepare to get pumped fellow assassins because today Ubisoft released the first ever gameplay footage from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed III. You can find the trailer below but let me just say that this is easily becoming my most anticipated game of the year – it might even top Firaxis’ incoming remake XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Combat and free-running seems to be the most fluid and natural looking the series has ever produced (despite the fact that this is a pre-alpha build) and the large scale battles Connor must cut his way through look to be nothing less than epic.

Also notice at the end of the video that pre-order swag is making its way to the game. By pre-purchasing Assassin’s Creed III at Gamestop you’ll get an additional mission (Lost Mayan Ruins) and a new weapon (the Sawtooth Sword). In addition, though not mentioned in the trailer, word is that buying the game at Best Buy will net you a mission titled Ghost of War and another weapon: Pontiac’s War Club…

So ladies and gents, let’s take a look back at the beginnings of one of the most iconic contemporary video game franchises…
