Hello and welcome, our beloved gamers. We thought it would be nice for you to put a virtual face to the articles you find on this website and the best way to do that is by telling you a little bit more about ourselves, the blog creators. In this section, we will tell you how we met, what games we play and why we decided to create this blog.
We already know we share the same love for gaming and we can easily become friends and we sincerely hope that happens in the future. So anyway, enjoy reading about our little story and the story of the blog itself.
Who Are We and How We Met
It might come as a surprise, due to the pop cultural depiction of gamers, but we are actually a couple. Yes, the video game geek found a girlfriend and they lived happily ever after, the end. No, no, no, not so fast.
We immediately clicked and started spending all our time together, but once we left to study at different universities, it was harder to replicate the moments we spent together in real life. Sure, we video chatted a lot, but what we really missed were the fun activities we did when we lived in the same town like going on dates, hiking, swimming and what not.
For some time, we didn’t know what to do to make our online long-distance relationship more fun and then bingo – video games. So, the classic contemporary story of the boyfriend teaching the girlfriend how to play his favourite games happened, and it filled the void left by the lack of real-life activities.
The first game we played together was Hearthstone, because we found out that we had both played Yu-Gi-Oh as children, so we thought it would be easier to start with a card game that was similar.
PS: Yu-Gi-Oh nowadays is nothing like the game portrayed in the hit anime series. It’s more like Hearthstone on tons of steroids with card effects taking days to read, so we excluded it as an option.
We weren’t sure if that could work at first, but we were both immediately hooked and we still play the sometimes-very-frustrating Blizzard card game.
The next step was to introduce the-now gaming addict girlfriend to first-person-shooter games.
The initial attempt was way different to the first-time playing Hearthstone, probably because first-person-shooter games require more “combat” experience and faster reflexes. It’s also not so fun to be killed 20 times in a row, but we’ve all been there. Once you get the hang of it though it becomes really exciting and for a time, Hearthstone was even put on hold.
Why We Created This Blog
We thought it would be nice to share our experience and especially how we bonded even more over video games. It’s honestly one of the best things a couple can do together, so we wanted to encourage other couples to give it a go. After all, what’s better than sharing the interests of your loved one and thus create new interests of your own?
However, we are not “a couples’ blog” only looking for readers who are a couple. We are a community open to every gamer who wants to learn about new games they might have not heard of.

Obviously, we are going to talk about a loooot of video games on here. We decided to start off with the ones that we play together, but we will continue to expand, because we want to include as many titles as possible in order to reach a much bigger audience of gaming enthusiasts.
We thought that since one of us taught the other how to play video games that our blog would serve the same purpose to the newbies out there. Each article would be dedicated to a single game and there we would explain what the game is about and some brief guidelines to the gameplay.
